Newcastle United are maintaining interest in Burnley defender James Tarkowski.
The Daily Mail says the Magpies have been linked to Tarkowski ahead of the January transfer window, who also played under Toon advisor Frank McParland at Brentford as well as at Turf Moor.
The 28-year-old has entered the final year of his contract at Burnley and will be free to leave for nothing at the end of the season.
But the England international has a gentleman's agreement in place with Burnley that the club will not stand in the way of a January move.
West Ham and Leicester City are also interested in the defender.
