Newcastle loanee Aarons explains Wycombe Wanderers move

Newcastle United loanee Rolando Aarons has explained his decision to move to Wycombe Wanderers in League One.

When Aarons found out that he was not a part of the 25-man Magpies squad for the Premier League, he knew that a loan move was his only option.

It is when he decided that he would take on any opportunity that gave him a chance to play regular first team football.

"The situation I found myself in, it wasn't difficult to make this decision," he told the Wycombe official website.

"It was either stay in England, stay in the public eye, or go abroad, which I played on for a few days and after a few days I decided it would probably be better for me to stay in England.

"I spoke to the manager [Gareth Ainsworth] and he was very convincing and told me exactly what he expected and how the team plays, and I thought it made sense and was the right decision."
