Newcastle United legend David Ginola fears an exodus of their best players.
Ginola reckons disillusioned Toon players will want out of St James' Park.
He told the Daily Star: "Newcastle really needed him as a player. He was the biggest asset in the team for Alan Pardew.
"They've got £19m in the bank but they are without him or a replacement. It's very strange and it sends off a strong message of a lack of ambition.
"The other French players will be saying 'we are fighting for the club, every day in training, every game and you are selling Yohan'.
"I think about players like Loic Remy and Yoan Gouffran. They will be devastated and think they're at a club with a lack of ambition.
"It'll be difficult for them. They'll wonder: Why am I staying at a club with no ambition at all?
"Newcastle surprise me a lot. It is frustrating. They were looking for titles and things for so many years and it seems they lost ambition on the way."
