Newcastle United and Leeds United are eager to sign Ross Barkley in January.

The attacking midfielder is far down the pecking order under Thomas Tuchel at the Stamford Bridge club.

Barkley, who spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, is not likely to get many first team chances with Chelsea.

According to90Min, the 27-year-old is wanted by Leeds and Newcastle, who could both offer him regular first team football.

The player is free to leave in January, whether on loan or via a permanent deal.
