Newcastle keeper Darlow: I could've done better for Wolves goal

Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow was left frustrated after conceding in their 1-1 draw with Wolves.

Darlow made a host of key saves and high claims at Molineux in the 1-1 draw he made an honest confession after the match.

He said: "Yeah I think I could have saved it.

"It happens.

"It's one that I didn't see until late and maybe could have gone with a different hand but we'll work again at training this week and go again."

Darlow feels his team-mates showed their resilient side with a strong defensive showing.

The former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper said: "We defended well on the whole.

"They were coming at us for quite a long time and defensively we were pretty solid apart from the shot for the goal (from Raul Jimenez).

"Other than that we played pretty well and played some good football on the counter-attack."
