Newcastle Jets young gun Ben Kantarovski will be sidelined for six to eight weeks after injuring his knee at training yesterday.
The 18-year old midfielder will undergo surgery this week to repair a torn lateral meniscus suffered whilst training as the club prepared for tomorrow night's clash with Gold Coast United.
Kantarovski will have arthroscopic surgery on Thursday in Sydney with the Jets indicating he will be out for two months at the most.
