Newcastle United insist any rift between Papiss Cisse and Demba Ba isn't affecting on-field form - or contract negotiations.

The Journal says reports yesterday claimed a rift between Ba and Senegalese compatriot Cissé.

But sources at St James' Park have painted Ba as a model professional and the ongoing negotiations have had little effect on his form, which has see him hit eight goals so far this campaign.
