Newcastle United hero Rob Lee says should have recalled Adam Armstrong from his Coventry loan spell in January.

Writing in the Newcastle Chronicle, Lee said: "What I find amazing is that Adam Armstrong has not been brought back from Coventry City though. That absolutely baffles me.

"Ivan Toney was brought back from Barnsley early when Newcastle had a few injuries up front, but Armstrong was kept at the Ricoh Arena.

"They're both the same age, and they're both still learning their trade – but the difference is Armstrong is really full of confidence."
