"But we need to spend big money when it all begins again in a few weeks. Even if it means that our new young hotshot striker find himself back on the bench.
"Let me explain.
"I have loved watching Perez over the last few games. Three goals in three games is something that a £21million striker would take, never mind a 21-year-old from Spain's lower leagues.
"However, the idea that he can carry on this form and the responsibility of leading the line from now until May is just crazy.
"He needs help. He needs someone to come in when the transfer window opens and who will take the pressure of him. Someone he can learn from.
"This is a roundabout way of saying we need to sign a striker. They cost money, but there you go."
