Newcastle United won't push to sign Sochaux striker Modibo Maiga without a back-up plan.
The Mirror says Newcastle have lined up Sochaux striker Maiga as their main January target.
But Toon are also monitoring a trio of back-up options in FC Twente's Luuk de Jong, Papa Cisse of Freiburg and Lille's Senegal star Moussa Sow, in case they cannot land Maiga.
