Newcastle United have a great man at their disposal in John Carver according to one of his former colleagues.
Ryan Nelsen, who was head coach at MLS club Toronto FC in 2013, shares a past coaching position at the Canadian club with Carver and feels he is certainly the right man to remain at the helm at St James' Park.
"John is a fantastic football man and Newcastle is in really good hands," Nelsen told Sky Sports News HQ.
"He was an absolute pleasure to speak to and a really knowledgeable guy. I see him on the sidelines and I can only imagine the pressure guys like him are under."
Carver took the reins at Newcastle after Alan Pardew left for Crystal Palace at the start of the year before being named as temporary manager for the remainder of the season on January 26.
