Newcastle goalkeeper Karl Darlow 'left disappointed' by Prem suspension

Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow is frustrated by the Premier League's coronavirus suspension.

The Evening Chronicle says by the time Newcastle are back in action, Martin Dubravka may well be fit. The Magpies' No 1 suffered a knee injury in the win at Southampton and has been ruled out for between a month and six weeks.

For Darlow, it is a cruel blow.

The 29-year-old had been 'champing at the bit' ahead of his first run in the team for more than two years but was naturally left 'disappointed' after the games against Sheffield United and Man City were postponed - even though he completely understood why.

It is now 772 days and counting since Darlow played in the Premier League.
