Newcastle goalkeeper Darlow: We did enough to beat Leeds

Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow feels they did enough to win last night's 1-1 draw with Leeds United.

Darlow repeated his heroics of last autumn after keeping Leeds at bay as they churned out 21 goal attempts.

After the game he reflected: "The first half was probably them.

"We did well to get the goal at the end of the first half.

"It's something we have worked on.

"We haven't been finishing halves well, first and second halves.

"In the second half it was a completely different game, I felt like we dominated the second half and maybe could even won it."

Speaking about goalscorer Allan Saint-Maximin, Darlow said: "He is a massive asset, he is capable of everything and anything.

"You just have to watch him, the fans adore him for bringing such a positive mentality.

"He is not afraid to try things and he is scoring goals."
