Newcastle United fullback Shane Ferguson is keen to return to Birmingham City.

Brum plan to take Ferguson on loan at the start of the season for the first part of the campaign.

Ferguson told the Sunday Sun: "I know Lee Clark very well from my days at Newcastle.

"He was my reserve-team coach and we've always had a good rapport. Last season being at Birmingham gave me the game-time that I needed and that first-team experience."
