Newcastle United have an agreement with Tottenham for Danny Rose.
The England defender is available on loan from Spurs, and the Magpies are almost certain to land him.
The news comes from multiple outlets in the UK.
Newcastle boss Steve Bruce had even spoken about Rose recently, saying to reporters: "He's a quality player and a class act, the kid.
"Whether it's possible, who knows?"
The 29-year-old will fill in for the likes of Paul Dummett and Jetro Willems, who are out for the rest of the season.
There are still parts of the deal to resolve, but everything should be done before the deadline, per BBC.
Rose played 16 games for Spurs this term, but only five since Jose Mourinho took over from Mauricio Pochettino in late November.
