Newcastle United have wrapped off their pre-season with a 2-0 win over Serie A side Hellos Verona at St James' Park on Sunday.
The Magpies made a strong start to the game and they were ahead with just four minutes on the clock. Ayoze Perez side-footed the ball at the near post from Javier Manquillo's cross to give his side an early lead.
The hosts doubled their lead in the 12th minute as Christian Atsu latched on to Jonjo Shelvey's ball to squeeze it past the keeper in the Verona goal.
The Magpies will begin their league campaign with a home game against Tottenham on Sunday.
