Newcastle United fans made it clear what they thought of yesterday's defeat at home to Sunderland.

Newcastle suffered a third successive derby defeat for the first time since 1923 and their fans were quick to show their disgust.

Two supporters made it on to pitch but were restrained by a steward and dragged off.

Two other fans were photographed with a ripped Newcastle shirt but their side remain in eighth place, nine points outside the top four while Sunderland hauled themselves clear of the relegation zone.
