Newcastle eyeing move for QPR prospect Eberechi Eze

Jamie Reuben already is launching Newcastle United's transfer plans ahead of the club's takeover.

The Daily Mail says the potential new board member appears to be eyeing a move for Eberechi Eze of QPR even though the takeover remains in doubt, which could be a hint to those concerned that it is only a matter of time.

The Toon are the latest in a string of clubs who have shown interest in the England Under 21 international after what has been an impressive season for the midfielder in the Championship.

The influence of Reuben has now been talked up thanks to his role as a director at QPR, a role that he will have to vacate should he take a spot on the board at St James Park.

The reformed board is to be led by the governor of Saudi's Public Investment Fund Yasir Al-Rumayyan, and that Reuben's position at QPR gives the club a fine chance of signing Eze.
