Newcastle United are eyeing Olympique Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.
The 25-year-old had a spell on loan at Atletico Madrid last season after they agreed a £1.2million loan fee with option for a £30m transfer.
Newcastle have been drawing up a list of young strikers but former Celtic and Fulham forward Dembele has plenty of top level experience also, says the Daily Mail.
The threat of relegation is proving a deterrent for some of Newcastle's targets and they may try to strike another loan with view to permanent move.
They are pursuing deals for Atletico's Kieran Trippier and centre back Sven Botman of Lille though may have to switch sights to more achievable options for January.
