Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is being linked with Newcastle United.

The Daily Star says Mignolet is a target for Newcastle – despite being a former favourite at their bitter rivals Sunderland.

The Liverpool goalkeeper is expected to leave Anfield this summer after falling behind Loris Karius in the pecking order.

A number of British, including Celtic, Stoke, Southampton and Burnley, are all reportedly keen.

Newcastle are also in the hunt for the 30-year-old Belgian, even if Toon and Black Cats supporters would no doubt both be angry if the move materialised.

Serie A high-flyers Napoli are also allegedly interested.
