Sporting Lisbon striker Yannick Djalo is interesting Newcastle United.

Diario de Noticias says Newcastle have made enquiries after the youngster, who is available for around £5 million.

The 24-year-old was expected to leave the club in the winter transfer window, but ex-Sporting coach Paulo Bento convinced him that he would have the chance to prove his worth at the Estadio de Alvalade.

Djalo is now ready to quit Sporting and along with Newcastle, Everton are also interested in the pacy forward.
