Newcastle United are interested in signing Rob Holding from Arsenal.
The Magpies want to strengthen their defence to help avoid another relegation fight this coming season.
The Daily Mail reports that they want to secure Holding on a one year loan deal.
He is likely available on loan or on a permanent transfer, as Arsenal have signed Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille.
A loan move would let him get first team football, while strengthening Steve Bruce's Magpies defence on a budget.
Leeds United have also expressed an interest in the 24-year-old.
