Newcastle United are edging closer to landing PSG striker Mevlut Erdinc.
The Daily Star Sunday says Toon are closing in on a £6.5million deal for Erdinc.
Newcastle have been tracking the French-born Turkish international, 24, for some time and are understood to have lodged an initial £5m bid.
PSG, who paid Sochaux £8m for Erdinc two years ago, ideally want their money back.
But French sources say they are likely to meet Newcastle halfway in their valuation.
