Newcastle United stand to receive a multi-million pound compensation settlement after goalkeeper Tim Krul suffered a season-ending knee injury while on international duty.
The 27-year-old shot-stopper ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament while playing for the Netherlands in their 2-1 win over Kazakhstan in Euro 2016 qualifying on Saturday.
The Mirror is reporting Newcastle will make a claim to FIFA's Club Protection Programme.
The programme calculates a compensation figure based on the player's salary for "temporary disablement in an international match".
The scheme can pay up to a maximum of £5.5million per injury.
