Newcastle United may have lost one of their options to replace injured goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.
The no.1 shot-stopper has a knee injury that may rule him out for most of the remaining season.
There was a suggestion the Magpies could recall Freddie Woodman from Swansea City.
But The Chronicle suggests there is no recall clause in that loan agreement.
Woodman is seen by many at Newcastle as a possible first team keeper, and he has a deal at the club until 2021.
But the possibility of him helping the team this season is remote, as Swansea would have to willingly terminate the loan.
It appears the club will have to find a keeper from their current crop to take up Dubravka's mantle for the coming weeks.
