Newcastle United have registered their disapproval of the proposed European Super League.
According to the Chronicle, the Magpies' chiefs are not happy with the idea of six English clubs breaking away to form their own competition to replace the UEFA Champions League.
Newcastle were not among the clubs to sign up for the competition, and have stated to the source that they oppose such a drastic change to the structure of European club football.
There has been official word from owner Mike Ashley surrounding the news.
UEFA, FIFA and other entities have threatened various actions against the six English clubs, and the six other European teams, which have signed up for the competition so far.
