Newcastle United defender Javi Manquillo says he enjoyed his experience at Liverpool.

Manquillo had a spell on-loan at Anfield.

And he still has fond memories of his time on Merseyside.

“In hindsight, was I too young to join Liverpool? No, I don't think so," he told the Daily Star before yesterday's defeat. “How many 19-year-olds get the chance to play in the Premier League for such a famous club?

“Of course I wanted more game time and that's why I eventually went to Marseille. But I loved being at Liverpool and I would not change a thing."
