Newcastle defender Dummett admits Arsenal defeat sparks relegation concern

Newcastle defender Paul Dummett admits defeat to Arsenal has them again looking at the dropzone with concern.

The loss leaves the Toon outside the bottom three by nine points.

Dummett said, "They were a good team despite the league position. They got in the holes and caused us problems. They were the better team today and fully deserved the three points.

"With the amount of games they have coming up we knew they would make changes but they have a quality squad and they showed that in the game.

"We came out and pressed them high in the second half to try to get a goal. When they got the second it was a bit of a sucker-punch and it killed us.

"Anything can happen. There's four massive games to go. The sooner we get the points the better. We have been in good form lately."
