Newcastle United have been dealt a blow with the news that Ciaran Clark is out for the rest of the season.
The 30-year-old is also going to miss his country Republic of Ireland's Euro 2020 playoff against Slovakia.
He suffered a serious injury against Arsenal, hurting his ankle.
Now it has been confirmed as a ligament issue.
The news comes from the Press Association, while the Magpies have not made any official comment.
Clark has played 14 Premier League games for Newcastle this term.
