Newcastle could include Woodman in bid for Arsenal midfielder Willock

Newcastle United could include a player in their bid for Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock.

The Evening Chronicle says Newcastle could throw goalkeeper Freddie Woodman into a possible swap deal plus cash package to secure the services of Willock.

Arsenal are looking to add an English goalie to their home grown quota and will use the funds from Willock to bolster their own transfer kitty.

The Gunners are trying to sign Brighton & Hove Albion duo Ben White and Tariq Lamptey with the fees potentially adding up to £100million.

Steve Bruce has made it clear to the powers that be he is desperate to bring Willock to Tyneside next season but an asking price is yet to be agreed for the England Under-21 international.

Woodman is currently valued at around £10million and would lighten the financial burden for Newcastle.
