Newcastle United are getting encouraging signs in their move for Deportivo Municipal playmaker Rodrigo Vilca.
The 21-year-old is highly rated in South America, and could be sent back on loan after the club concludes a £250,000 deal.
According to the Daily Mail, the Magpies want the player to develop himself physically before they bring him into the Premier League.
But they are a fan of his talent, with Vilca recently getting a call up to the Peru national team.
Newcastle will also sell right back DeAndre Yedlin this summer, per the same report.
Yedlin is wanted in MLS and by some clubs in Europe.
