Newcastle United managing director Derek Llambias has had his car repossessed, it has been revealed.

The News of the World says Llambias is an isolated figure on Tyneside during owner Mike Ashley's attempt to sell the club.

But Llambias saw things get worse when his BMW was taken back by dealers, who said the deal on the car expired.

"It was embarrassing," said a club insider. "He had no idea his car had been taken back. He was fuming."
