Newcastle are ready to put in an offer of £25million for young forward Goncalo Ramos.

The 21-year-old Benfica attacker is wanted by both the Magpies and Paris Saint-Germain.

Portuguese journalist Pedro Sepulveda claims Newcastle are ready to put in a bid, as they do not want to be gazumped to the deal by PSG.

Even though PSG's interest is real, Ramos may believe he has better chances of regular game time at Newcastle.

He could then grow his value and potentially move to a top club in a few years.

Newcastle are very keen to add a forward before the transfer window closes.
