Newcastle United club captain Jamaal Lascelles has suffered a serious injury blow.

Lascelles is no longer first choice and has barely played this season in the Premier League.

The captain was not a part of their 3-1 win over Southampton, as he is likely out for the rest of the season.

Per Chronicle Live, he has a calf injury that could mean an extended spell on the sidelines.

With Lascelles out, Paul Dummett could be in line for some game time before the season concludes.

He is another who wants as much action as possible, and may even move in the summer for regular game time.
