Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles says there's plenty to look forward to in 2019.
Rafa Benitez recently stated it would take a miracle for the Magpies to survive in the Premier League but that has not had a negative effect on the players - despite suggestions it irked some senior players.
When asked what his message would be to supporters, Lascelles said: "There have been positives in 2018.
"It is important not to get too low or too high.
"We have to try to stay level headed. There is expectation here for the players but we have to step out on that pitch and perform. That's our jobs.
"Any point we get will be well earned."
