Newcastle United are calm about Jacob Murphy's contract situation.

Watford and Rangers are interested in the winger, whose deal runs to 2022.

Murphy has enjoyed a positive season on Tyneside and manager Steve Bruce said: "I sincerely hope that we tie Jacob down.

"He's played a big part in the season... I've been very, very pleased with him."

The boyhood Newcastle fan wants to stay at the club and his agent Jamie Moralee of New Era Global Sports is eager to get his client an extended deal, says the Evening Chronicle.
