Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has turned to farming during England's coronavirus lockdown.

Bruce and his wife have temporarily moved out of their Newcastle home into a farmhouse property they have in Cheshire, reports the Daily Star.

And the 59-year-old's been spending his time either on a tractor in the fields or doing a spot of DIY inside.

"I've been busy on the tractor turning the land over," he said.

"And I'll be busy over the next few weeks, doing the house up as well.

"I'd far rather be at the Newcastle training ground with my staff and the players.

"But this gives me the opportunity to do something completely different."
