Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce admits he wants to buy after their 1-0 win over Chelsea.

Isaac Hayden scored the winner for Newcastle on Saturday as they edged out Chelsea and afterwards Bruce spoke about what his plans are amid an injury to Jetro Willems in the game.

"We need to build so and add that bit of quality. Everyone has been asking me about January and I've said all along, unless there is a bit of quality I'm not going to do anything," Bruce told Sky Sports.

"What's the point? We might have to look at left-back now because it looks serious for Jetro Willems but we'll see how that is.

"It looks like a nasty one."
