Before yesterday's defeat at Spurs, Shearer said: "I like Harry as a manager. He's done it his own way, which is probably very different to a lot of managers, but his way has been successful.
"Players love playing for him because he has a unique way of managing. I have tremendous respect for him. Man-management and motivation are a massive part of the job. You can go on about coaching techniques, but man-management - getting the best out of players - is the important thing."
