Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez says he doesn't fear for his job.
A run of 11 defeats in 14 games, and no wins yet this season, has put Benitez under the cosh.
But the ex-Real Madrid and Liverpool boss launched a fightback saying: “I don't fear the sack. Because I don't think that, that's it."
Asked if he will keep Newcastle up, Benitez replied: “Yes. I have confidence we will do it.
“We will do well, we will stay in the Premier League. I will not say what position."
Asked if he would blame the club for looking for a successor, with Brendan Rodgers a candidate, he replied: “I don't blame anyone because I'm professional.
“What I have to do is get the best from my players.
“The most important thing is to stay in Premier League. The city needs that."
