Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is urging Aussie midfielder Brad Inman to sign his new one-year contract.

The Sunday Sun says the 21-year-old has been considering his options over the summer with Crewe Alexandra keen on signing the attacking midfielder.

However, Alan Pardew wants Inman to commit his short-term future and give him the opportunity to impress in pre-season before being able to assess his next step.

Should Inman sign on, United could farm him out to a Championship side in the first half of the season.
