Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew says Mathieu Debuchy will be better for his debut.

Debuchy featured in the 0-0 draw with Norwich City.

Pardew said: "He found out that the Premier League is 30mph faster than he's used to. He got that after 10 minutes.

"We didn't want him to be too expansive and that is probably his game. He will have more freedom to go forward next week."
