Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is chasing Burnley striker Danny Ings.
The Daily Star says he has already clinched a £1.5m deal for Tenerife forward Ayoze Perez but wants at least one of the new recruits to have experience of English football.
Ings has just 12 months left on his contract at Turf Moor and while the Clarets are desperate to keep him, the Magpies are just the latest club who have expressed an interest in the former Bournemouth man.
