Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton has no doubts Kevin Nolan will prove himself Premiership class next season.
Hughton feels one of the talismen of last term's Coca-Cola Championship title win can come good again in the Premier League.
Hughton told the Evening Chronicle: "Last time round in the Premier League was a little bit of a frustrating time for Kevin.
"He came here post-injury, and we probably didn't see the best of him in the Premier League stint he had for us, so I think he, more than anybody, will be looking to apply himself again there.
"He's played in the Premier League for many years and there's no doubt that sort of experience can benefit us.
"He'll be looking forward to that as well."
