Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has revealed that the World Cup will serve as a recruitment tool for him this winter.
The Magpies are not the only club team with money to spend and the hopes of landing the next big star.
The Newcastle recruitment team has been working hard on January additions, especially with the team now in with a chance of qualifying for the Champions League.
"Of course," Howe told reporters.
"It's a great platform for players to show their skills and showcase what they can do so we will be looking at it.
"If we have our own players involved, it will be a great environment to see them play and see how they do for their respective countries but, also, from a recruitment tool, yes, for sure."
