Newcastle boss Howe knows form not good enough facing AC Milan

Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe admits his team's away form is not good enough.

The Magpies face a critical test against AC Milan away from home in the Champions League this week.

Howe knows that his team needs a positive result for Europa League or Champions League knockout stage qualification from their group.

"It's up to us to find the answers to that," Howe told reporters on their away results this term, which involve only ONE victory.

"I can't defend it. I can't defend it so I won't."

"We are always looking to bounce back," Howe added after losing away to Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday.

"Now we go into a different competition so the focus will just be on another big game. We have got used to that this season.

"The players have got used to that rhythm of just playing games with very minimal rest. This is going to be another big test because you have got the high of the Champions League and then we very quickly have to refocus on Fulham, but all we can do is take the next challenge on.

"We will need the crowd in the next group of games because these have been two tough experiences and you've seen how the home crowd can affect. We have seen that countless times at St James' Park and we're going to need that in our favor this time."
