Newcastle boss Howe insists Saint-Maximin not for sale: But Darlow...?

Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has outlined his desire to keep Allan Saint-Maximin.

The French winger was being linked with a move away from the club this winter.

Italian reports had suggested that AC Milan were interested in Saint-Maximin.

However, Howe still believes that Saint-Maximin is a key part of his squad.

He stated, "Absolutely not. He is here to stay, and is an integral part of my team."

He then added on keeper Karl Darlow: "The situation is that he will be involved with us tomorrow. Then we will see where we stand on things after that.

"Martin is cup-tied in this competition, then we have Lorius, who is continuing to train well.

"That's the situation – we wanted Karl for this game, then we'll make a decision after that."
