Newcastle boss Bruce delighted beating Bournemouth: Fans coming around

Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce was delighted with their 2-1 defeat of Bournemouth.

The Magpies made it successive wins in the Premier League wins thanks to goals from DeAndre Yedlin and Ciaran Clark who helped cancel out Harry Wilson's opener.

United were hanging on for the win in the end but deserved the victory against an in-form Bournemouth side.

Bruce said: "Listen, the crowd will only respond when they see the team up and at them a little bit.

"We're edging towards it.

"The crowd played their part in the last 10, 15 minutes, I think the enjoyed the spirit they showed, and also the threat which we've cause teams with the pace and power we've got up the pitch.

"We just have to add a little bit at the top end to grab a goal, but as long as they keep working away like they're doing we will be OK.

"I know for a fact that Bournemouth will go away from here thinking, the defenders anyway, that's a tough afternoon playing against those three."
