Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez is pushing to sign two strikers this week.

The Sun says West Brom striker Salomon Rondon, a long-term target of Toon boss Rafa Benitez, is expected to join for £17million.

Dwight Gayle now looks set to move in the opposite direction after agreeing to sign for the Baggies.

And Benitez isn't stopping there as he's also set to clinch a loan deal for Liverpool striker Danny Ings.

He said: “We are trying to do things and maybe in a couple of days we can say something."
