Newcastle United have assured manager Alan Pardew that striker Papiss Cisse won't be sold.
The Daily Star says though the Premier League transfer window shut last week, Cisse's future was plunged into doubt with Russian outfit Rubin Kazan and Turkey's Fenerbahce poised with bids for the Senegal international.
Both can still make signings and had targeted Cisse, confident Newcastle were ready to sell.
